Jomsom Muktinath trekking further takes us to the barren beauty of Kagbeni, the entrance of Mustang 'The Forbidden Kingdom' against the backdrop of majestic Himalayas before ascending to the famous pilgrimage site of Muktinath. The trek of Jomsom Muktinath is the major pilgrimage site, both for Hindus as well as Buddhists. Hindu pilgrims visit Muktinath to pay homage by bathing in the 108 water spouts shaped as cow's heads to purify their bodies before visiting the main Temple for worship and Buddhists devote at a shrine enclosing an eternal blue flame.
