  • Jomsom Muktinath trekking is one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal, this is part of Annapurna Circuit trekking. Jomsom Muktinath trekking follows the old trade route to Tibet along the ridge of Kali Gandaki, between the peaks of Annapurna (8091m)  and Mt. Dhaulagiri(8167m) finally emerges to the north of the main Himalayan range, on the arid desert-like Tibetan Plateau. Jomsom Muktinath trekking further takes us to the barren beauty of Kagbeni, the entrance of Mustang 'The Forbidden Kingdom' against the backdrop of majestic Himalayas before ascending to the famous pilgrimage site of Muktinath.

    The trek of Jomsom Muktinath is the major pilgrimage site, both for Hindus as well as Buddhists. Hindu pilgrims visit Muktinath to pay homage by bathing in the 108 water spouts shaped like cow's heads to purify their bodies before visiting the main Temple for worship and Buddhists devote themselves to a shrine enclosing an eternal blue flame.

                    Jomsom Muktinath trekking is a  magnificent Himalayan view, fabulous Kali Gandaki the deepest gorge in the world with distinctive and prosperous villages of Tukuche, Marpha (2665m), Jharkot, and Jomsom with its medieval Kings Palace and Bonpo Gompa. The village of Marpha is famous for a garden of apples, apricots and peaches sold fresh, dry, and as distilled liquor brandy. Jomsom Sunrise and mountains view from Poonhill, typical Magar village in Ulleri, natural hot spring water at Tatopani, worlds deepest Kali Gandaki gorge, typical Thakali village in Tukuche and Marpha, monasteries in Tukuche, Marpha, Kagbeni, Jharkot and Muktinath, eternal frame in Muktinath, 'Shaligram' the stone of Vishnu available on the Kali Gandaki valley are the main highlights of this trek.

    Detail Itinerary

    • Day 1Arrive at Kathmandu.Our team will pick you up from the Tribhuwan International airport and will offer you a warm welcome. and will drive to your hotel.
    • Day 2Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu City After having breakfast, we will move to visit the different heritage sites of Kathmandu valley such as Kathmandu Durbar square, Bouddha, Pashupati Temple, and Swayambu, and prepare the necessary equipment required for the trek.
    • Day 3Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (910m) (6 hours)Early in the morning, we will drive to Pokhara. It takes 6 hrs to reach Pokhara by bus. Enjoy the view of Pokhara and overnight in hotels.
    • Day 4Fly Pokhara to Jomsom( 2665m)-30minAs per our flight schedule, we will fly to Jomsom from Pokhara. The view from the flight is astonishing when we reached Jomsom airport. We will start trekking to Kagbeni which takes us 3 hrs to reach Kagbeni. Overnight in Kagbeni.
    • Day 5Trek Kagbeni to Muktinath (3802m)-5 hours.Early in the morning, we will start our journey through the Kali Gandaki river. We will pass several villages. Overnight in Muktinath villages.
    • Day 6Trek Muktinath to Jomsom (2665m)-6 hoursEarly in the morning, we will visit the Sacred temple Muktinath which is a famous temple all over Nepal. After spending some time exploring the temple, we will trek to Jomsom and overnight there for a stay.
    • Day 7Trek Jomsom to TukucheAfter having our breakfast, we will trek to Tukuche. All the trails from Jomsom to Tukuche will be the blissful moment in our trek. We will overnight in Tukuche village.
    • Day 8Trek Tukuche to Ghasa (2080m) (6 hours)Early in the morning, we will trek for 6 hrs to reach Ghasa. After arriving in Ghasa we will explore the place near Ghasa and overnight there.
    • Day 9Trek Ghasa to Tatopani (Natural hot water) Early in the morning, we will trek to Tatopani. Tatopani means hot water. We can also take a bath in Tatopani, Natural hot water which is believed that cures several diseases. We will overnight the lodges for our overnight.
    • Day 10Trek Tatopani to Shikha(1935m) (5 hours)After having our breakfast, we will trek to Shikha which takes about 5 hrs from Tatopani. We will overnight there in Shikha.
    • Day 11Trek Shikha to Ghorepani (2834m) (4:30 hours)
    • Day 12Hike up Ghorepani to Poonhill (3210m) and Trek Poonhill to Tadapani(2520m) (6:30 hours)Early in the morning, we will trek to Poonhill where we can get a view of different mountain peaks. After spending a blissful moment in Poonhill we will trek to tadapani.
    • Day 13TrekTadapani to Ghaundruk (1950m) (3 hours)
    • Day 14Trek Ghandruk to Talkha (3 hours)
    • Day 15Trek Talkha to Kadhe (2 hours) and drive Kadhe to Pokhara (30min)
    • Day 16Drive back Pokhara to Katmandu (6 hours)After having our breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to our hotels and spend the time walking around Durbar square or the busy shopping street of Thamel for buying some memories of Nepal and attend the gathering party organized by our team.
    • Day 17UNO Travels and Adventures drop in International Airport for Home Country.Our team will drive you to the airport in your home country.
