Hilly Region also can be known as the central geographic region, situated on the southern side of the great Himalayas and the northern side of Terai covering 68% of the total land of our country including the Loamy soil. The altitude ranges between 600m to 3600m above sea level, up above 3600m are included in the Himalayan Range. Due to different geographic structures water currents are also high and are very good for different sorts of Water Tourism and sports. Hilly Region begins from Mahabharat Range with the capital at its center where indigenous Newar people and other Janajati such as Gurung, Magar, etc are preserving their culture to date.
