  • Langtang Valley trekking is known as the valley of glaciers, Langtang Valley trekking gives magnificent sights of lush green forest covered with abundant flora and fauna, and the spectacular mountain range on either side of it reaches high into the sky. Langtang Valley is situated due north of Kathmandu near the Tibetan border, within the most pristine National park in the country.

    Embark on a mesmerizing adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of the Langtang Valley. This trek offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural encounters, and serene mountain vistas. Explore charming villages, traverse lush forests, and witness the grandeur of the Langtang Himalayas.

    Langtang is the most easily accessible highland sanctuary from the capital. The elevation of Langtang Valley starts at 1500m and is enclosed by snow-capped mountains which conclude at the peak of Langtang Lirung (7234m). Within this great latitudinal variation is an immense ecological diversity. The shy red panda a rare and threatened symbol of a healthy Himalayan ecosystem is the prime attraction. Other wildlife includes yellow-throated martens, wild boar, Himalayan black bears, Ghoral (Wild Mountain Goat), gray langur, and leopards. Langtang valley is home to the Danphe (National bird of Nepal) Tragopan and pheasants among others. Larch, a rare deciduous conifer, Himalayan Thar, musk deer, ibis bills, Tibetan snow cock, and snow partridge are also found in the forest of Langtang Valley.

    Langtang Valley trekking winds upstream Bhote Kosi river through ethnic Tamang villages, the valley of pine forests, slow-moving rivers, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy lawns, and meadows strewn with daisies and other exotic wildflowers, and the widespread Kyangjin valley surrounded by snowy peaks from all fours sides, takes you up to Kyangjin at 3800m, where you get an opportunity to ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m), from where th360-degree mountain views are truly panoramic. After an ascent of Kyangjin Ri, we retrace our route back down the valley to Syabru Besi and then drive back to Kathmandu.

    • The Langtang Valley trek is considered a moderate trek, but it does involve several uphill and downhill sections. Good physical fitness and stamina are necessary for this trek. Regular exercise and cardiovascular workouts before the trek will help you prepare for the adventure.
    • Altitude sickness can be a concern during the trek, especially as you reach higher elevations. It's crucial to acclimatize properly by ascending gradually and taking rest days for adaptation. Stay hydrated, listen to your body, and notify your guide immediately if you experience any symptoms of altitude sickness.

    • Sturdy and comfortable trekking boots that provide ankle support.
    • Lightweight and quick-drying clothing, including breathable t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, trekking pants, and thermal layers for colder temperatures.
    • A warm and waterproof jacket, as the weather in the mountains can change rapidly.
    • A good-quality sleeping bag suitable for cold temperatures.
    • A daypack to carry your essentials during the trek, including a water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera.
    • Trekking poles for added stability and support during uphill and downhill sections.
    • A first aid kit with basic supplies and any personal medications you may need.
    • Sunscreen, lip balm, and a hat to protect yourself from the strong sun at higher altitudes.
    • A good quality headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries.
    • A lightweight towel, toiletries, and personal hygiene items.
    • A water purification system or water purification tablets to ensure a safe drinking water supply during the trek.
    • Cash in local currency for any additional expenses, such as snacks, drinks, and souvenirs along the way.
